The Company

Since its incorporation in 1991 under the name NCQ Seafoods, Ballina Fishing Park has successfully produced top quality Black Tiger Prawns for the domestic market, winning several major seafood awards (2001 Sydney Fish Market Seafood Awards; 2002 & 2003 Sydney Royal Fine Foods Show).

The farm still produces top quality prawns and now offers a unique tourism attraction known as the Ballina Fishing Park.

Ballina Fishing Park is Australia’s premier salt water fishing park where visitors can catch a variety of native marine fish such as bream and jewfish. It is ideally situated on the pristine Richmond River and near the Pacific motorway for access.

The Property

The Ballina Fishing Park is located on one of the most unspoiled areas of the Richmond River. Once here, you will hardly believe that you are only 5 minutes from the town centre. Native birds of all species as well as other flora and fauna abound on the property.

The Farm

Ballina Fishing Park is a salt water aquaculture facility as well as a unique tourism attraction. Water is drawn from the pristine Richmond River and is directed to 5 separate one hectare ponds. The ponds have separate functions of prawn aquaculture, fish aquaculture and tourist access ponds. The farm has been in operation for over 12 years and has successfully grown many species of fish and prawn (black tiger prawn, school prawn, red snapper, jewfish, bream, and whiting).
